I've been trying to determine if Maryknoll constructed the Junior Seminary at Clarks Summit or was the structure already in existence when the Society moved from Scranton to Clarks Summit in 1916. Do you have any knowledge of that? Also, it would be nice to have some pics of the Novitiate at Bedford, or rather, Billerica, Mass.. There has to be some out there. -------------- I don't know about your time at Maryknoll but every Maryknoll house in my time had a dark room and some students adept at photography. As a result, many pics were taken, posted on the bulletin board and we could order the ones we wanted. I started an album which I bought in 1948 in Scranton, Pa with a chronicle of my time up to 1955. The album has fallen apart and I have recently transferred the pics to some new ones with appropriate comments. I am now up to the Novitiate days. Pics from the theology year at the Knoll are minimal since picture taking was not a priority there. I continue to be amazed by the number of pics I have and the myriad things we did. At the Novitiate, I was assigned to write the Novitiate Diary for the first 3 months there. The Novitiate Diary was written by novices from the days the Novitiate opened. A few years ago, I talked with the then Superior General who was passing through Minneapolis. He said the diaries are all at the archives at the Knoll and that they can be accessed. I would love to get back and read some of the crazy things I wrote. Once I get through with the albums, perhaps I can make some copies of the Novitiate pics and send them to you. Ron Byrnes
