From: JOHN E ERLINGER Subject: Happy New Year Hi Ray: I got your note and Christmas card. Thanks for the good wishes. Yeah, Ray, that was me in Uncle Morrie's Unit. I am sure we roomed together as we used to change every quarter, thus ensuring that there were as few "particular friendships" as possible. Only in these later years did I grow to realize what they meant by that phrase. i think joe Holtey explained it to me. .... ----------------------- CC: Pat HealyFrom: "John E. Dom move the last of his (many) possessions from Indian Springs, Nevada, to Nazareth House in San Diego where many retired priests live. Father is a member of the class of 1945. His mission assignments in Maryknoll included Peru, Chile, Guatemala and Mexico where he was vice rector of the seminary of the Missionaries of Guadelupe for a time, and, where I met him, Glen Ellyn, where he taught French and Spanish in the sixties. He worked with the Spanish speaking community around Glen Ellyn and in the Joliet diocese for at least 15 years after leaving Glen Ellyn. Father Dom says he would like to hear from friends and former students. He does not have email, but his Fr. Dominic Morrissette 6333 Rancho Mission Road San Diego, CA 92108. (949) 606-5305. I would also like to report that I am now in possession of an authenic Glen Ellyn faculty lounge chair which has accompanied Fr. Dom all these years. He assures me that my souvenir was not purloined, but freely given to him on his departure by one Brother Fidelis who I do not remember at all. God Bless John E.
